Xtract was founded by Stefan and Iris, lifelong entrepreneurs united by a shared belief that fragrance is one of the most powerful, yet often overlooked, forms of expression.
After more than two decades of experience in design, branding and hospitality, they discovered how strongly scent can influence atmosphere, perception and emotion. This inspired them to create a maison where fragrance becomes more than just a pleasant detail — it becomes a language of identity.

Are the diffusers safe to use near children and pets?
Yes, when used as directed and exclusively with Xtract fragrance refills, the devices are considered the safest option available.
Where can I download the app to set the scent?
The app you need to download is called Xtract Fragrances and is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Can I use any type of oil in my Xtract device?
Use only Xtract fragrance refills in our devices. Other oils or oil blends may contain carrier oils that can lead to clogging of the device. It is advisable to avoid using many single-note essential oils in Xtract devices, as their thick or heavy consistency can cause clogging and hinder fragrance diffusion. Xtract fragrance refills are carefully formulated to be effective, safe, and easy to use in Xtract devices.
Where is the best place to put the diffuser?
Install the diffuser in a location where the device can benefit from the natural airflow in the room. It is important to ensure that the diffuser remains stable and does not tip over. Consult the user manual for more details.
What is the maximum room size the Odyscent can handle?
The Odyscent diffuser is most effective for areas under 100 m². For larger environments, we do have other custom solutions; feel free to email us at info@xtract.be.
Should I adjust the intensity?
Yes, it is recommended to adjust the diffuser to the size of your room. If the diffuser is set too high for the size of the room, it may cause discomfort. You can easily adjust the fragrance intensity via the Xtract Fragrances app, which allows you to choose from different levels.
How strong should I set the scent?
It is important to remember that less is more when using Xtract devices. With just a small amount of fragrance, you can eliminate unpleasant odors and create a unique atmosphere. Unlike other air fresheners, Xtract devices are easy to adjust. The human nose quickly becomes accustomed to scents, so if you no longer perceive the scent, it does not mean it is not there. To gauge the strength of the fragrance, step out of the scented area and re-enter with a fresh nose for a better assessment.
How long does a 120 ml fragrance refill last?
With most diffusers, it typically lasts 8 weeks with daily use of approximately 8 hours per day at average intensity. To set the fragrance, the device features a 24/7 internal timer controlled by the Xtract Fragrances app. This allows you to determine the diffuser's operating times throughout the day. The duration may vary depending on the fragrance used, as certain oils diffuse faster due to their consistency and viscosity.
What is the average fragrance consumption?
Consumption depends on the fragrance used and the intensity. On average, this varies from 0.50 ml to 0.80 ml per hour.
Can I set different timer schedules for each day?
Yes, you can set up to 5 different timer schedules for your Xtract fragrance machine using the Xtract Fragrances app. This allows you to specify specific on and off times for each day of the week.
How do our diffusers differ from aerosol and ultrasonic diffusers?
Aerosol sprays release large particles that quickly settle on the ground, resulting in high fragrance concentrations only in the immediate vicinity. The scent effect is short-lived and difficult to control. Ultrasonic diffusers use water and vibrations to disperse small amounts of essential and aroma oils. Our diffusers, on the other hand, do not require dilution with water or other carrier oils. The released airborne fragrance particles remain suspended in the air for several hours, creating a subtle and pleasant-smelling environment. This offers a continuous and even fragrance experience in low doses, without the use of alcohol, water, propellants, or other harmful volatile organic compounds.
Do you also have appliances for larger rooms?
Yes, we have units suitable for larger spaces up to 900 m². We have stand-alone units, but they can also be connected to your ventilation system. Additionally, we have LED advertising kiosks that simultaneously diffuse fragrance.
Do you also offer solutions for companies?
Yes, we offer companies the option of entering into an all-in contract, ensuring they are completely unburdened. With our all-in contract, we ensure that the fragrance dispensers always function optimally and are refilled regularly, so that your spaces continuously enjoy a pleasant scent experience. Are the products environmentally friendly?
Xtract Diffusers are known as the most environmentally friendly products on the market. Unlike aerosols, they do not use propellants and contain no phthalates, thus avoiding the production of harmful volatile organic compounds. Furthermore, they do not rely on ethanol or similar solvents to promote the evaporation of essential and aroma oils, setting them apart from many other air fresheners.
Are your fragrance refills compliant with European legislation?
Yes, the products comply with CLP regulations and are registered in the PCN.
